Daily Scripture Reading: Mark 11:1-10
“And those who went before and those who followed were shouting, ‘Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!’” Mark 11:9 (ESV)
From the claiming of the colt to the crowd waving branches and shouting, “Hosanna” (translated, Save!), Jerusalem was the place to be. Today’s passage shows us that Passover was about to begin and the city was packed. As Jesus entered the city, He was heralded as the coming King. Day one of Holy Week could not have been more upbeat.
Jesus is King in Heaven and on Earth. And as He came then, so He will come again! Hosanna!
Celebrate the Lordship of Jesus, King of glory. But don’t do it alone. Get together with friends and tell them the good news of King Jesus.
