40 Days of Lent | Day 11: Peace! Be Still.

Daily Scripture Reading: Mark 4:35-41

“And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, ‘Peace! Be still.’ And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. He said to them, ‘Why are you so afraid?
Have you still no faith?’”  Mark 4:39-40

The disciples would never forget that day. They were in deep water when a violent storm came without warning. These fishermen knew the danger, and they were afraid. But not Jesus. He slept, unfazed by thunder, lightning, and the churning and tilting of the boat. This storm was not outside His control.

It’s easy to forget—nothing that happens to us is news to Jesus! He knows, He cares, and He is saying, “Peace! Be still.”

What do you fear? Sickness? The loss of your dreams? Life alone? Take your fears to Jesus. He is the only One who can still the storm within.
